Frank Tripepi was a well-regarded City Manager. He was a generous mentor and a trusted confidant. Frank knew how to get things done. Among his gifts, he regularly reached out and reveled in connecting with colleagues. Frank was known as a tough boss who engendered deep loyalty. His employees became extended family. Frank remembered birthdays and knew the names of employee’s kids. He was the furthest thing from a fair-weather friend. It would be a gross understatement to say Frank was well-connected. He took care of people, and helped them out when they were down. Frank opened doors and smoothly helped create opportunities. I will always cherish his friendship.
